Centreville TaxAide, 2022 Season
Welcome to Centreville TaxAide. We are open at the Centreville Library from February 1 through April 16 at these times:
Tuesdays, 4-8 (4:30-8 on the 2nd Tuesday of every month)
Taxpayers who can meet our COVID protocols are expected to remain with us while their returns are prepared. Others will need to hand off their documents at the library entrance and wait nearby while we prepare the return. Our COVID protocols require that:
You provide proof of being fully vaccinated as you enter the room.
You wear a snug-fitting mask over the mouth and nose.
You wait elsewhere until your appointment time, and that you arrive within 5 minutes of your appointment time to keep your place.
Only our volunteers and those taxpayers currently being serviced are in the room. (Aides and interpreters may be there if they follow the COVID protocols.) Sorry, we can’t allow children this year.
TaxAide volunteers are vaccinated and masked.
Our online appointment service is available at SignUpGenius. We do accept walk-ins who will be given an appointment time for same day whenever possible. Please be aware that ALL appointments are for one tax return, for one year. If you have multiple family members who need to have returns prepared, or you need to have more than one year prepared, appointments will need to be made for each.
The CentrevillePacket.pdf below contains more information and our supplemental forms. The Form13614-C.pdf below is the IRS required form for all clients. In addition, all of these forms are available in the library’s vestibule during their open hours. Please help us streamline the process, and reduce the exposure, by completing all required forms in advance, and removing all papers you have received from their envelopes. Also please be aware that you refund will be seriously delayed if you do not provide accurate information on your Economic Impact (Stimulus) Payment or your Advanced Child Tax Credit. Please bring your letters (6475, 6419) with you, and/or check your bank account for the needed information.
If you have specific questions, please detail them in an email (preferred) or in a voice mail/text message to us. Due to volunteer shortages, these channels will not be constantly monitored, but we will reply as soon as we can. You can reach us at:
