Welcome to Centreville TaxAide. We will be open – by appointment – at the following times:

Tuesdays, 4 pm - 8 pm

Wednesdays, 1 pm - 5 pm

Saturdays, 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

We will prepare 2025 Federal 1040 and Virginia 760 returns for electronic filing. In addition, we can generally handle returns for 2022-2024. We can also process returns for MD, DC, and many other states If you need a past year return or a non-Virginia return, please indicate this need when booking your appointment so we can contact you to re-schedule if appropriate volunteers are not available. Also, out-of-state returns will need to be started by April 1.

Additional forms required for specific situations can be at our What to Bring link (we will provide the tip/overtime and car loan deduction forms, and fill them out with you when you come in). At a minimum, make sure you complete the TaxAide Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet on this link. All forms will be available in the library’s vestibule by January 22.

To make an appointment, please click on TaxAide Signup or visit our site during our open hours. (Same-day walk-ins will be accommodated if we have space available and all forms have been completed.) You will need a separate appointment for each tax return being prepared.
